Welcome to Sixth Grade
Sixth Grade is a time for exploration, responsibility, and independence to start blooming. We will work hard and accomplish a lot throughout the year. You will all take a walk through the Ancient World and stop at places like Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece and Rome. In math we will expand our knowledge of fractions and decimals, learn about integers, equations and much, much more. It will be a challenging year, but we will all work together and help each other succeed.
Science camp will be a week with many memories and strengthened friendships! Hearst Castle will be a first hand experience and visit into the Greek and Roman cultures. Beauty and the Beast will also be a blast when we visit PCPA in December.
We will also be collecting materials, and creating care packages for soldiers overseas. We will participate in Get on the Bus, and participate in canned food drives. Throughout the first half of the year, along with the 5th grade class, we will collect bottles and cans in order to raise money to buy felt. With the felt, we will create blankets and take them to the local woman shelters.
Prepare yourself for a very memorable year! 🙂
