I hope that you all enjoy your weekend! I would like to congratulate the 5th grade class on a phenomenal musical. Long hours of memorizing lines, song lyrics to rehearse, and dance moves to master…the 5th grade had it all together last night and they should feel so proud of their accomplishments! Also, a job well done goes out to Mrs. Rippy who worked tirelessly with the students on her inaugural musical. She had big shoes to fill and did so with poise and grace!
Next week continues to be full of activity as May rolls along. We welcome our new room moms for the 2015-2016 school year on Monday, are treated to an afternoon of acrobats on Wednesday (thank you Parents’ Club!) and celebrate our final mass of the school year and Play Day on Friday. Fr. Jim Henry will preside at our school mass which will begin at 9AM on Friday. We ask for continued prayers for Fr. Ken as his condition remains critical, and for his family, especially his sister Denise, as they care for him. As the school receives information on any changes in his condition we will inform you.
Have an enjoyable weekend!
LAST SCHOOL MASS OF THIS SCHOOL YEAR will take place on Wednesday, May 22. This will be a time to be thankful for this school year and to offer prayers for those who have left us, and for those who still need our prayers. Please join us for this last school Mass!
PLAY DAY IS MAY 22! Play Day is a fun way for the 8th graders to make money for their graduation activities. It means a half day of games that your students can partake in to win little prizes and to make great memories. Parents are invited to come and have fun. Too! This is a FREE DRESS day for all of us!! The only hot lunch this day will be a $3.00 hot dog, chips & drink lunch served by the 8th graders. Extra hot dogs cost $1.00. Lunch cards CANNOT be used for this day.
PARENTS’ CLUB HOT DOG LUNCH & WATERMELON FEED will take place on Wednesday, May 27. All students will be treated to a hot dog lunch & watermelon to help celebrate our students!
ANNUAL FUND If you want to make a donation to this year’s Annual Fund and haven’t done so, you still have time! You can either do it online at our website or send in a check. Call the office, 489-1210, if you have any questions about our Annual Fund.
CHOIR FOR GRADUATION Mrs. Rippy is asking for volunteers to sing at the 8th grade graduation on May 29. Rehearsals will be at school on Tuesdays at 1:30 and the choir will need to be at St. Patrick’s Church at 5:00 PM on May 29.
END OF THE YEAR ACCOUNTING Just as you have to settle up your finances each year, so does the school. Statements for monies owed will be coming home in the next couple of weeks so that it gives you time to clear your accounts and get your student’s final report cards. Please watch for your statement, it will be coming home with your oldest student and we a Constant Contact when that happens.
END OF THE YEAR UNIFORM EXCHANGE We will once again have our uniform exchange the last week of school. Please bring your clean, usable uniforms on the morning of June 1, so that they can be sorted. The Exchange will start on Monday, June 1, after school. Because they will not have uniforms, the students will have FREE DRESS this entire week.
SERVICE HOURS 2015-16 We have 2 openings for Yard Duty for next year. Call Gail if you are interested, 489-1210. You need to have done the Live Scan and the Shield the Vulnerable to be eligible.
